My Favorite Face Wash Trio

I don't know if it's cause I'm getting older, but I am pretty obsessive with my skin care routine lately. Especially when it comes to washing my face. I have a favorite cleansing combination I like to use that literally leaves my face glowing afterwards. Alone, they work pretty good, but when used altogether... it forms a magical facial dreamland you will wonder how you ever lived without.

First things first, you gotta get this brush. I used to not really care what I washed my face with until I started using the Clarisonic brush. After I used this, I don't think I really knew what a clean face felt like. And woah, what a difference! Yes, it's a little on the expensive side, but put it on your birthday or Christmas wish list, cause it's totally worth it. They even have sales, and promos going on all the time, so you can snag it for a steal. Disclaimer: this brush does not rotate, it vibrates. I thought it rotated, but supposedly that can be really harsh for your skin. All you have to do is gently move the brush in small circular motions all over your face and neck, and the sonic vibrating technology does all the work revealing naturally beautiful radiant skin.

I am a huge fan of St. Ives products. Their products are natural, work really really well, and are super cheap! This gentle scrub will literally leave your face glowing! I used to use their apricot scrub but was advised from an esthetician to use an exfoliant with small circular particles rather than an exfoliant that has triangular jagged particles, as it can leave your skin worse. Have you ever exfoliated yourself with sand? It's kind of like comparing sand from the beach and sand from the ocean. Sand from the beach is fine and bead like, where as sand from the ocean is rough and brittle. This is like sand from the beach, except it smells like pink lemonade instead of salt water.

Ok, so you got the brush and the exfoliant, so now it's time for the face wash. Hate to say it, but plain soap doesn't really do the trick. This dreamy creamy foaming cleanser from Ole Henriksen is the closest thing to heaven in a bottle. I originally got this in a sample before I bought the big cleanser, and even though the price tag seems a lot for a face wash, it will last you forever! I highly recommend trying their sample packs, because I am in love with a lot of their other products. But this cleanser is definitely a fav from the line. Synthetic, fragrance and soap free, this product was named the best natural cleanser at the Natural Health Beauty Awards. Infused with African red tea, Vitamin C, and borage seed oil; squirt this creamy foam directly on your Clarisonic brush alone, or use in conjunction with the St. Ives exfoliant scrub. Your face will thank you.

  1. I purchased the St. Ives apricot scrub and moisturizer when posted about it a year or two ago and love it so I'm excited to try this recommendation as well.
