Ask Jordan: White After Labor Day

Q: "With Fall just around the corner, what are your thoughts on white after Labor Day? I'm traditional in thinking that all my beloved white shorts, skirts, pants should be packed away until next Memorial Day, but I keep hearing that rule no longer applies." - Kerry M.

Whoever said wearing white after Labor Day is a fashion crime, obviously never used self tanner. LOL. I really think that rule only ever applied back when people were tan in summer and pale in winter, and everyone looked ghostly. Haha, I don't know... just a guess. But I prefer to break the fashion rules. White and black is a big trend this year. You see it a lot in home decor, but more so recently in fashion. And it's a great color combo for this upcoming Fall! See below how you can rock this same look shown above, and how you can make your very own fashion statement this Labor Day!

This pure white top from Page 6 Boutique is absolutely adorable, and looks uber chic paired with a big floppy black hat

This backless top can be worn a couple ways. Either tie it up to dress it up, or leave it untied for a more boho vibe.  The cropped white jean really makes this look POP! Think it might be too dressy for you? Try pairing it with a pair of wide leg denim jeans and nude wedges

I recently posted about these awesome snow leopard pumps in my last blog post. They are seriously so comfortable and extremely versatile, and go with practically anything! They are also on SALE for $68! And for extra savings use code "FALL14" at checkout and receive $15 off your order over $100.

What are your thoughts on wearing white after Labor Day? Is it a do or a don't? Let me know with a comment below!

  1. Valid points and I definitely plan on wearing my whites a little longer this year. In fact, today I paired my white skinny jeans with a plaid button down, brown belt with brown Tory Burch flats. Perfect summer to fall transition in my opinion. :)
